Wormhole Life

W-Space life in unlike any other experience in New Eden. Constant shifting access to new systems, new opportunities, and new threats requires discipline, vigilence, and at least a hint of paranoia.

Benefits:

• Independence - we look out for our own and are not beholden to any empire or coalition. We get to write our own story in New Eden.
• Content Opportunities - combat engagement, lucrative resources, and capsuleer interaction are all just a few scans away. This is great for even the most time conscious capsuleers who find that they have limited time to devote to their pod. ALXVP has no participation time or rental requirements.
• Close Knit Team - you are not a callsign in a sea of pods here. We work very closely with eachother to benefit all. Voice comms and corporate channels are often active and good natured. Destructive attitudes and behavior find no place here.
  
• Education - we learn from eachother and are happy to teach and include.
  

Drawbacks:

• OppSec - our safety and security depend on our enemies knowing as little about our assets and location as possible. This means that our members are expected to guard such knowledge from public channels, un-aligned corporations, and unsecure voice coms. Even awareness of your existence in a w-space local channel is dangerous intel for our enemies.
• Risk - w-space is -1.0 security space with it's own set of 'guidelines' and absolutely no quarter given. General practice is 'shoot first, shoot second, loot, then shoot again to clear the wreck.' Questions are optional. This means that you are likely to lose assets far more easily than in high sec or protected null sec. It is safe to assume there is a cloaked Stratios or Proteus always about to attack you. This is normal in w-space.
• 'Paranoia' - due to the risks listed above, most w-space residents develop a healthy paranoia about anyone they encounter. Trust is hard earned and the true currency w-space. Sudden but inevitable betrayal often visits those who trust too easily.
• Shifting Universe - our entrances and exits are never the same from one day to the next. This can mean long stretches between easy access to trade hubs or specific k-space locations.
• Self-driven Content - limited resources in Origin mean that if you want or need more content, you may need to spend some time scanning down neighboring wormholes and confirming they are safe to exploit.

Section Foxtrot

There is a runaway trolley barreling down the railway tracks. Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people tied up and unable to move. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. Unfortunately, you notice that there is one person on the side track. You have two options: (1) Do nothing, and the trolley kills the five people on the main track. (2) Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person. Which is the correct choice?

Heinz's wife was near death, and her only hope was a drug that had been discovered by a pharmacist who was selling it for an exorbitant price. The drug cost $20,000 to make, and the pharmacist was selling it for $200,000. Heinz could only raise $50,000 and insurance wouldn't make up the difference. He offered what he had to the pharmacist, and when his offer was rejected, Heinz said he would pay the rest later. Still the pharmacist refused. In desperation, Heinz considered stealing the drug. Would it be wrong for him to do that?

Comms Interview

If your Formal Application meets our standards, you may be invited onto our Voice Communications Network [TeamSpeak] for an interview with one or more of our Board of Coordinators. It is not uncommon for some members to be included so that both you and we can get a better idea for how you may fit with our current membership. This interview is often informal in nature.

Application and Acceptance

If you are approved for membership in Alexylva Paradox following your Interview, please use the "Apply To Join" button within your ship's Neo-com to request the final invite.

I've been approved and received my invite!  ...what now?

1. Request access to Corporate Channels on Voice Comms [TeamSpeak] - ask a coordinator to give you full member access to use corporate channels. This will allow you to move freely out of the lobby on comms.
   
2. Read corporate bulletins, especially the Corporate Policy Agreement, Classy Ship-Name Propaganda [naming convention], and Protocol Sheet. These bulletins can be found in the Corporation tab of your Neo-com.
   
3. Set up Tripwire - a link can be found within the Corp chat MOTD labeled 'mapper.' Please ask for help if you encounter difficulties.
4. Request an invite to ALXVP Slack - provide an email address to any coordinator and they can send you an invite to join and set up Slack. We use this system for fast communication beyond the confines of New Eden [out-of-game text].
   
5. Begin moving assets into Origin - we recommend moving a scout class vessel into Origin as a priority.
